@kirpuff. I wanted it to look like a tropical cocktail, but was really just seltzer mixed with orange juice. It was refreshing though.

I am a premium member.

I haven’t posted in awhile. When I moved, I fell into a new routine and didn’t seem to have time for ukulele. It feels really good to be back at it. This was a nice tune to ease back into practicing.

I am a Premium Member.

This month has been crazy, some good (bought a house by the beach) some bad (sick dog) so not much time to play ukulele, but this marks the end of my first year on the this site and I have come so far. The fact that I can record an OK version without attempting to record it 100 times shows progress. I know it is sloppy, but I hope I got the emotion of the song. That is what I was going for.

I am a premium member.

I am left handed, but have always played guitar and ukulele right handed. This really hasn’t been an issue for me until I attempted this pattern. Very challenging to learn with my non dominant hand.

Thank you Andrew for the feedback. I will work on that exercise. I have difficulty moving from left hand form 2 to form 1 and back quickly and smoothly, which happens a lot in this piece. I will work on it. As I commented before, this piece looked like it was going to be easy, but turned out to be harder than I thought. That’s good. It shows me what I need to work on. Thanks.

Here’s Kemp’s Jig, which I found to be deceptively difficult. I was already familiar with another arrangement of the tune, so I thought this one would be easy to learn. Not so. Still struggle with picado.
