I have been working on Stairway to Heaven, but couldn’t get enough practice time in this month. Here’s my Aura Lee.

Watch at your own risk! I know my timing is off in places and there’s A LOT of room for improvement. I really try to not choose the easiest song just for an entry, so this was a challenge for sure, and turned out to be pretty fun.

Thank you for the encouragement, @Andrew. This was a beautiful arrangement and fun to play. I’m excited about this month’s Classical genre. Rock Class 101 has been essential to my learning the uke.
@Andrew – here is my updated playing of the Godfather. Practice makes… well, better! I played measure 9 over and over.
I AM NOT DONE PRACTICING THIS!! Just wanted to get it recorded and uploaded since I had it memorized. Love this beautiful tune and will continue to work on it.
I decided to challenge myself this month and I’m not real happy with this best take, but here is my “St. Anne’s Reel.” I stumbled a bit and couldn’t get the tempo up to 100%, but worked hard on it, so I’m at least pleased with what progress I did make.

The main reason I am a member of Rock class 101 is to learn songs I can play solo so I don’t have to sing, but I couldn’t resist doing this song this month. It has always been one of my favorites ever since I heard Donny Osmond sing it- yes, I’m a child of the 70s!! I don’t like my voice, but here it is…

I admit this is subpar work this month. I was out of town the first 14 days and now I’m on call for watching granddaughter #1 when mom goes into labor with granddaughter #2 so I was in a hurry to get something uploaded. Sorry about that! I still enjoyed learning this one.

One of my favorite songs and I’m not done practicing this. After reviewing this recording I think it sounds like I’m attacking my uke! I am now practicing thumbing it for a softer tone, but thought I’d better get something uploaded so as to not wait till the last minute.
