lisadmhParticipantThat would be fun, springer! I drifted of fly my to the moon due to challenges taking over but it’s high on my wish list!
lisadmhParticipantAh, I want to see him! It’s amazing you had that chance. It must be very motivating. You’ll get there. 😁😁😁

lisadmhParticipantYeah those pull offs are tough. They rarely sound clean. I still cheat on them sometimes, including on this particular run except the first one. I cheat less often than I used to so that must be progress.
I give it a break for a while. But then I get distracted on another song and have to force myself to come back!
I’m going between the two challenge songs This month. I’ll get the flamenco postable. The other one might just be partial. I’ve memorized intro, theme 1 and almost theme 2. 3 is the hardest though.
lisadmhParticipantYeah but even practicing slow as slow can be, I need millions of loops. I’m not very good at this, but I make up for the lack of natural talent with enthusiasm and loop loop loop loop loop loop….. A lot of effort goes into these challenges!!!

lisadmhParticipantSounds great poopsies. Your faster than I am at this point and nice and clean. The harmonic is tricky. I’m cheating and doing a regular harmonic. My bad.
lisadmhParticipantSliiiide, so fun. 😀
Mheiden, give it a try. I have no idea what I’m doing and I’m a beginner. I just played around with patterns and basic chords, trying some frets that I notice Andrew uses a lot. I gradually built it up over a couple months from a basic chord progression to something that sounds like a real song I think. It’s basically G, C, G, D chords with a few other things thrown in over time.
You can do it!
lisadmhParticipantThanks both! That would be an awesome challenge Andrew. 😀
lisadmhParticipantRobin, thanks. I’ll check them out. I’m a big fan of Fluorocarbon so I’d like to hear those. I don’t think I can buy them for low G around here as it’s very limited but maybe online.
lisadmhParticipantVery cool! I’ve subscribed and commented, but alas I’m North of the border. Just saw that requirement. Oh well. I’ll enjoy watching anyway!

lisadmhParticipantGreat job everyone! I love all the first time entries and the huge number of entries overall. Although it reduces my chances of winning 😀 it’s great to see so many members rising to the challenge!

lisadmhParticipantHmmm. I’m pretty sure learning to play quieter, not louder, is what is wished for in my home. Amplifying my many mistakes might not be to my advantage. But it sounds fun. Would it amplify my wimpy hammer ons and harmonics? I may consider that!

lisadmhParticipantRobin, that’s you’re starting point??? I think just maybe you’ve got this nailed. Amazing start.
Uh oh. I seem to be getting sucked into moon. It’s so beautiful but I don’t know if I can do it. The flamenco is the safe bet with so much riding on it, lol, but I’m on page 2 of moon. Just maybe???

lisadmhParticipantHmmm 7$ for a new uke toy? Now you’ve got me curious. Is it complicated? Does it help? What does it do? Lol.
lisadmhParticipantAh ah! Moment of joy. Things like sustain and attack make me nervous as I’m not a musician and I don’t know what I’m doing, but boominess I get. I can actually do it if I think of reducing the booominess, then translate that into control of attack. I’ve got this!
lisadmhParticipantThanks guys. So it’s part equipment, part user error. I’ll work on the boominess. I love that word. Boominess. 😀
And maybe I’ll look for different strings. I seem to have acquired ukulele string acquisition syndrome now!
