It’s been a year since I last posted but I’m still trying. This is my attempt at bury beneath the willow. It’s carried very heavily by the backing track. So, thanks to Christopher and Ashley and the rest of the team for the chance to learn this. The ending always seemed to surprise me when I was recording and otherwise plenty of fumbles but I had fun learning to play it.

Still having trouble with the hammer-ons though. Especially the high A.

Here’s my entry, Let it be.
Here’s my best take of dream a little dream. I made as an effort to learn to be play this without the music in front of me, which I don’t usually do. It Still has a few stutters, but it’s nice to be able just to pick up the ukulele and play.

This is me trying to play Last Christmas too fast, as usual. I also gave up on the harmonics after I cut my nails too short and couldn’t practice them. Merry Christmas everyone.

I went with the easier option this month, but there’s still so much the can and does go wrong. I still can’t play the Harmonics reliably. Nevertheless, it gave me a chance to try some speed and volume modulation.

Hi Everyone,
The end of the month really sneaked up on me, so despite practicing this video was unfortunately no very rushed. Nevertheless the take was probably a fair representation of my playing but with a few more takes I would definitely get those bars 17/18 much cleaner. Happy Halloween!
Here’s my go at Day Dreaming. A lovely tune, Andrew and a pleasure to play, even though I didn’t quite hit the 11th Bar right.
Not the best recording due to background noise and it being quite quiet. Unfortunately I’m won’t be able to try again tonight. So, this is my best attempt at summertime.

So, Johnny B. Goode. I had a head start with this one. I tried to learn it a couple of years ago before I had premium membership. I was quite proud of the result and even made a video of my progress. Two years later and with more resources available, I think it has improved considerably.
