@nthibode that was beautiful, Natalie. I love that song as well but haven’t been bold enough to try and sing it

@ccwuke thanks Chris for the kind words! Dogs are great. Lucy was my 2nd JRT and it hurts to say goodbye. Thanks for sharing about you lab. I love Labs!
Great job on your version of Let it Be! oops I mean Yesterday! Which is my other favorite Beatles sad song!

This is NOT my official entry but a singing version I did back in March ’22 for a different Beatles Challenge.
It has some elements from a chord melody version that I could Not learn at the time.
RC101’s version is even more difficult but I am giving it a shot because I love this song so much.
I “feel” it in all the sad and hopeful ways intended by the song. I will try to have a version done by May 30th but I know the difficulty level is WAY above my skill.
I just had to say goodbye to my 16 yo Dog, Lucy,(2 days ago) so yeah, I’m sad. 😢

@andrew -thanks for the kind words. I definitely just started it and didn’t have a full grasp of the B section. I was beginning to practice the picado picking but under pressure of the recording, it must gone out the window!!!😜

I’m sorry but I’ve had many family and work obligations this month, along with a old dog at her end. I can count on one hand the hours I was able to work on this song. I haven’t had much time to pick up my Uke much at all and it makes me sad.
I want continue with this song AND learn Stephen’s Bass part but it didn’t happen this month. 😣
Here is my feeble attempt at Minuet in G.

I actually wasn’t going to do the challenge this month either, but thought I’d give Jurassic Park a go. It sounds pretty. So I started last week to work on it. I needed more time but I recorded on my lunch break from work today, But forgot to upload it when I got home. Then I uploaded from my phone but apparently I wasn’t logged in so it didn’t go through and then I just barely made it by midnight (9 pm here) when I logged in and loaded it again!
A Section, surprisingly, gave me more problems than the other sections.

I wanted to do crossing hemispheres but I hadn’t done the strumming course yet,
AND I really need to. This is a short month with lots of “work” commitments and I knew I would not have time.
So I picked the “Beginning Blues Strumming” song.
I am going to work through the full strumming course before attempting the other
    Advanced songs.
I am using the tab viewer in a metronome mode (still not great with it!🤪)

(OOPS, I had to repost, I linked the wrong video then something went wrong when I tried to edit)

    RUDOLPH THE RED NOSE REINDEER…
I had fun with this easy song, but easy songs are not always easy for me!! I have challenges with
finger muscle memory and challenges memorizing lyrics!
I had some fun with a second part I added at the end of my video- I added a couple BLOOPERS from me trying to sing the INTRO (I couldn’t get the reindeer names in the right order!😜) and then I “sang” the lyrics
    Happy Holidays!

Awesome early posts, Ladies!!! @lyndallk, @planetfink (BTW, my mom was a Fink from Harrisburg), @deadbuggy
    You 3 are so talented!

I will be donating to $50 to UKC like I have for the last couple years since joining RC101.

I will most likely stick with beginner friendly “Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer”, which is still challenging for me! I don’t have the time this month to attempt a song that I am NOT familiar with.
I love “…Favorite Things” but I am already working on a simplified chord melody version in the key of Dm, which was taught last month at “DaniJoyMusic.com”
    I love Christopher Davis-Shannon but I can’t learn a new version right now! 😜
Maybe I’ll post my version of “Favorite Things” after I post my “Rudolf” entry for this month.
Thanks for the lessons Andrew and RC101 Crew!!!
    Happy Chanuka and Merry Christmas!

I have been working on Etude in Em for the last 2-3 weeks, some of that practice was in the car
while traveling for Thanksgiving Holiday week!
I have it pretty much memorized but my fingers have a mind of their own, especially when recording!
I still have work to do on the mobility of my fingers but I feel I have made progress.

@Andrew Thanks for the feedback. I know I am inconsistent with the bar chords and the clarity of the chords gets more muddled with the nerves as well! I will work on the exercises for finger strength. When I get better at this song, where should I post the update?
Also, I LOVE Steven’s Bass part for Moondance! Does he have the tabs for it? Or a Bass lesson for Moondance? I bought a used Ohana OBU-22 Uke Bass earlier this year.

Again, posting on the last day! I’ve been so busy and I really need lots more time with this song. I will keep working on it!
I’ve had to use a couple alternate chord shapes due to the fact my fingers would not cooperate with the stretch and crunch to make those chords up the neck.

I chose Moondance because I LOVE love LOVE this song!
Here is my “unrefined” cover of the song:
