(OOPS, I had to repost, I linked the wrong video then something went wrong when I tried to edit)

    RUDOLPH THE RED NOSE REINDEER…
I had fun with this easy song, but easy songs are not always easy for me!! I have challenges with
finger muscle memory and challenges memorizing lyrics!
I had some fun with a second part I added at the end of my video- I added a couple BLOOPERS from me trying to sing the INTRO (I couldn’t get the reindeer names in the right order!😜) and then I “sang” the lyrics
    Happy Holidays!

Awesome early posts, Ladies!!! @lyndallk, @planetfink (BTW, my mom was a Fink from Harrisburg), @deadbuggy
    You 3 are so talented!

I will be donating to $50 to UKC like I have for the last couple years since joining RC101.

I will most likely stick with beginner friendly “Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer”, which is still challenging for me! I don’t have the time this month to attempt a song that I am NOT familiar with.
I love “…Favorite Things” but I am already working on a simplified chord melody version in the key of Dm, which was taught last month at “DaniJoyMusic.com”
    I love Christopher Davis-Shannon but I can’t learn a new version right now! 😜
Maybe I’ll post my version of “Favorite Things” after I post my “Rudolf” entry for this month.
Thanks for the lessons Andrew and RC101 Crew!!!
    Happy Chanuka and Merry Christmas!

I have been working on Etude in Em for the last 2-3 weeks, some of that practice was in the car
while traveling for Thanksgiving Holiday week!
I have it pretty much memorized but my fingers have a mind of their own, especially when recording!
I still have work to do on the mobility of my fingers but I feel I have made progress.

@Andrew Thanks for the feedback. I know I am inconsistent with the bar chords and the clarity of the chords gets more muddled with the nerves as well! I will work on the exercises for finger strength. When I get better at this song, where should I post the update?
Also, I LOVE Steven’s Bass part for Moondance! Does he have the tabs for it? Or a Bass lesson for Moondance? I bought a used Ohana OBU-22 Uke Bass earlier this year.

Again, posting on the last day! I’ve been so busy and I really need lots more time with this song. I will keep working on it!
I’ve had to use a couple alternate chord shapes due to the fact my fingers would not cooperate with the stretch and crunch to make those chords up the neck.

I chose Moondance because I LOVE love LOVE this song!
Here is my “unrefined” cover of the song:

I AM A PREMIUM MEMEBR! (I almost forgot that part)
I was not even going to post this month due to helping my daughter before and after her giving birth to her 4th child! She had a beautiful 11 lb. girl! wowza!
I found some time this last week to work on Etude # 26- Travis Picking, although NOT enough time to really tackle it well. So I’ll keep working on it.
I wanted to learn Travis Picking because it sounds great but it is Very challenging! I was also challenged by all the “stretch chords” in this song. Especially playing those chords on the Baritone! Thanks Andrew 😳 😜.
My Ohana Baritone has a built in pick-up/EQ so I was plugged into an interface and recorded on my MacBook Pro in PhotoBooth.
Andrew, I love the sound of this piece and I’ve been wanting to watch “Into The Wild” for sometime now, ever since I learned Eddie Vedder did the sound track. I love his Ukulele album!

I have been busy helping my daughter get ready for the birth of her 4th child so I have not been
able to do much music this month. I chose Jail House Rock because I really need work playing along with some one else as a band. I have zero experience with that.
I didn’t get far with this song, sorry, and I guess it is late with uploading, but I thought I’d load it anyway.
I don’t expect feedback anyway, In already know what it will say! lol!
Also, this is the first time try to play along with a track on RC101. I recently bought a AKG microphone, an Interface and an amplifier. I’ve been having a very steep learning curve in using this new tech, but I wanted to learn how to record better quality videos and audio. I need to spend more time with the actually music practice!

Happy Memorial Day 🇺🇸! I’ve got my Ahi Tuna seared and the Baby Back ribs are smoked. Then I recorded my video!
Ok Andrew! I got my video in before the evening deadline!
I would have liked to try Jump, it has some really cool riffs in it, but it is just beyond my abilities and time I have to practice! I almost did not work on any song but I wanted to post this month.
So I chose Smoke on the Water and started learning last week. It’s a blast! I pretty much have it memorized but my fingers were having trouble with the chords in the chorus. They have a mind of their own at times!😜🤙🏼🤘🏻
I will continue to work on it and I would love to learn the Bass part, also!
have an awesome Memorial Day. Remembering our fallen soldiers 🥰😭

Edit: I got stuck in an error loop on my phone and i couldn’t get out until it was too late.
Here is my bad video attached correctly:

Also, my only Uke with a high G broke a string so I played the correct notes in a different form on a low G

@Andrew – thanks, yes I had more trouble memorizing the B section, but also some of the fingering up the neck. I was really giving my pinky a workout trying the techniques Steven demonstrated. I have arthritis in my left thumb but I am not giving up! When I was learning the A section, it was easy to memorize and I was much more relaxed playing it (maybe not in the video but when I was working on it), so I will keep working on the B part and the whole song, because I love it!
    Congrats to DeadBuggy!

Ok, was recording several takes and somehow all my videos corrupted!
    The program failed!
So I hurriedly recorded one more take to get it in just barely on time!

    Here my Spanish Romance.
I need more work but I really love this song and it was very challenging for me.

Spanish Romance is on my Sleep Playlist and I just love it! It is so romantic😜 and relaxing!
I’ve been wanting to learn this song for a while! I’m sure I will have to take it in small chunks, at a slow speed in order to memorize it.
It will be a challenge but well worth it for a song that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
