Hi hi, I chose the Stranger Things Theme (even if I don’t watch any series haha, but I like the sound of it).
I can absolutely understand the struggle with the right hand some people here had and I also didn’t expect the song to be that hard regarding the right hand actually.
Bar 8 was the most difficult for me; that little variation in the picking pattern really messed with my brain.
While recording, I just trusted my fingers to hopefully do the right thing 😀
I practiced with the fade out at the end, but in the recording, I couldn’t do it, I am glad that all the notes in general are right.
johanna2509ParticipantMatt’s version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps! 🙂

johanna2509ParticipantThank you Andrew! Yea, I have to work on that strength problem, I am also still using my middle finger to support the index, but that limits the mobility. I revisit those bars and practice with your suggestion 🙂

johanna2509ParticipantHi hi, here is In the Summertime. Lovely arrangement and one of those songs that gets stuck in my head for days 🙂
I really struggled with bars 17, 18 and 20; the hammer-ons and pull-offs barely made a sound in the first days of practice (was very frustrating… almost made me switch the tune).
I feel like the strings on my tenor are really tight, so I switched to my soprano and those bars actually got easier.
But then the 12th fret was harder to reach and to get a good sound out of it.
That’s why I switched back to the tenor and tried to build more strength to make the hammer-ons and pull-offs ring out more.
After a lot of tries I have a version that I am kinda happy with 🙂August 28, 2022 at 8:08 am in reply to: Participate in the August 2022 Member Challenge: WIN Bamboo Ukulele! #53387
johanna2509ParticipantHey, here is another Fingerpicking Etude no. 5. Such a nice original tune. I also started learning “Hope”, another original, and I absolutely love it!

Hi all!
I chose Let it Be this month. I love playing that arrangement! However, recording was so difficult… Getting all the tricky parts right in one go is really challenging. I think I’ll never get used to record myself 😀
I can’t get a better recording than this one so here it is!April 6, 2022 at 2:32 pm in reply to: Participate in the April 2022 Member Challenge – WIN $6,000 Kanile’a Ukulele #51413

Minuet in G is a really cute tune! And playing to a backing track was also a ton of fun 🙂
